USSR, Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, India, Vietnam, China, Baltic States, Czech, Hungary, Romania, et al to name just a few have all had identical results.
Venezuela is a perfect modern day example. They were once one of the wealthiest nations in the world. They have the largest sources of oil per capita in the world by far. It is also of the best grade. They have ample other resources and are located in a key geo-political area. They had a very high standard of living under capitalism. Within a very short time after experimenting with socialism they took a dramatic turn. Conditions there now are some of the worst in the world. The people can't even obtain toilet paper, let alone food. Even collecting rain water in a barrel is considered theft of the governments property.

Argentina, Bolivia, and Peru were some of the first nations to cast off there socialist system. The rise in the standard of living couldn't be more dramatic. These are perfect empirical examples to test and compare the merits of each. There are many others and many studies go even further. In the US studies clearly indicate our experiment with socialism and the Great Society has also been a complete failure and is responsible for the cracks we are beginning to witness.

These things you speak of exist BECAUSE of socialism creeping into our American Ideal. You can't just see something and say, see that... that's because of capitalism. In a Democratic Socialist system it doesn't suffice to just do as the intellectual elite do and just claim some cause because to do otherwise would hurt the interests of the people in charge. Of course the intelligentsia in the Universities, media, and the bureaucracy would claim it is due to capitalism. But is it really? What about all of Sowell's actual empirical studies which indicate this is not at all the case. We didn't have these issues until after socialist policies. And Sowell has PROVEN the connection. Look at the rate of child-birth and the drop in marriage rate among the black community which only began after the Great Society and the socialist war on poverty. And Sowell didn't just do it for the US data. He broke it down into pieces from virtually all over the world and found time and again the same result. If you pay people more for having children while you have a family income below a certain level is it any surprise you will get an increase in single-mother children. The Great Society penalizes those on these programs but making it known if you do better than the level they consider basic subsistence the funding will be cut off. When welfare became work-fare the bureaucrats were shocked at the level of fraud and repression they discovered under these policies.
And it grows like a cancer, because those who are penalized for success know their only hope to increase their lot in life is to get everyone else to agree to more socialism. So socialism keeps growing and the results are more people are forced into poverty. It is a positive feedback cycle that grows exponentially until it finally collapses and you get outright tyranny.

34% socialist. But even that is almost more than any capitalist system can withstand. At 34% socialism the motivation equation shows a 75% reduction in the motivation to produce. At the same time those who decide to opt out of producing and live off the socialism make 45% of what the average person who earns makes. So they can make lets say 100,000/year working 40 hours per week or they can get $45,000/year getting food stamps, unemployment, welfare, SS disability, CDCS and other assistance. This leaves them 40 hours per week to do drugs, sell drugs, steal or do really whatever they want up to and including NOT A DAMN THING.
The 100,000/year actually only buys 25% of what it would without the socialism in place. This is why the motivation equation shows a 75% reduction in incentive.

Oh well then you might like to hear this little anecdote.
I have a friend of mine who does contract work. He is a good friend of mine in spite of the fact he is the most militant, ardent black supporter of socialism I have ever met. He will send me texts for months similar to what I hear from the socialists on this site. Always bitching about how the whites have this and that and the blacks are owed this, etc.
He recently got a contract working to build a website for the FCC I believe it was. It was funded under the "infrastructure bill". The FCC established a small department which issues fines for any media which doesn't abide by newly instituted PC/Woke/Diversity standards. This applies to TV shows, Internet content, commercials, and even video games. They can issue fines of up to $10,000/region per airing of a commercial. There are about 80 regions I think he said. So a single airing of a nationwide commercial could be fined $800,000 if it received a score of -100.
This group of bureaucrats is apparently run by a guy who is very left-wing homosexual according to him. EVERYONE he hires is by any standard really way out there. Transvestites, homosexuals, Environmental NAZI's, racists, ANTIFA sympathizers, BLM, et al. They would rank various media and give it a score. If they deemed it "incorrect" or in someway offensive to their sensibilities the score would be negative. Lets say it got a -10 score. Then the fine would be 10% of 10,000 or 1,000 per airing per region. Of course these scores were highly subjective and what one might deem unoffensive could be reviewed by some whack-job trans-sexual and get fined as a result. So they "encouraged" producers to err on the side of caution. They also hired my buddy to create a website the producers could use to approximate the score it might receive. But there is still no guarantee the agent who eventually does the same will answer the questions in the same manner. So again, producers should err on the side of caution.

The equations he was given to generate scores take in responses to questions and from a database generate a "correctness" score. If a commercial has a couple which is white then it will receive a negative score. You get +15 if it is an interracial couple. If the husband is black and the wife white it receives another +10. But if the husband is white and the wife black it receives -10 for a total of +5 (at least it is an interracial couple). If one of the actors is black and another is white then the questions determine who is the dominant character and who is portrayed as the subserviant or the butt of a joke. If the black is the cool or smart guy and the white is the dumb guy or the guy who doesn't seem to have a clue or the one who does something stupid then it gets + points. The reverse and it will be fined.
They also give points for showing homosexual couples or transvestites or trans-sexuals in a more positive light. Points are given for using the "correct" pronouns. For instance instead of him or her using the pronoun herm (some made up pronoun off some new list). He told me about a guy in particular that works there who was reviewing a video game. The video game producers went to the trouble of allowing players the ability to select the pronouns they preferred when they create their character at the beginning of a game. + points there. But as it turned out due to the nature of the game they had to prevent users from creating multiple accounts for online multiplayer games. To play online the user must create an account which uses the Windows username defined when windows was installed. His Windows account used his "dead name" he was going by when he installed Windows. Once you create it the only way to undue is to reinstall Windows. When he found out his account had to use his "dead name" and he was now going by a woman's name (even though he still has his junk) he had an absolute hysterical break down in the middle of the office area. As described to me this consisted of rolling around on the floor for 4.5 hours screaming and crying like his mother had just died and in the process had lost an arm. Supposedly just absolute crazy histrionics for 4.5 hours in the middle of a supposedly professional office area. Other coworkers equally as "woke" were consoling him and telling him, "oh sweety we understand. We know just how you feel." Meanwhile my militant black friend was in shock. Even as left-wing socialist as he is, he had trouble believing it. After 4.5 hours he was fed up and said he was going to call an ambulance as something was obviously medically wrong and it was best to call an ambulance to avoid liability. Only then did he suddenly cease his crying jag.
Even my friend had to admit this was racist, though he has told me in the past "blacks can't be racist because they aren't in power". Even he admitted it was literally mathematically racist.
