nato was designed to promote peace, not cause it. what is the point of ukraine joining nato if russia attacks it immediately and war breaks out in europe with american involvement.
they could tell russia if it doesn't lay off ukraine, then ukraine would join nato.

Due to Ukraines corruption and lacking defenses they have not been invited to join NATO. If braindead biden would express this to Putin it would go a long way in dissolving tensions. I think Russia should initially invade and annex all the territory up to and along the Dniepr !
And then see from there what's next.
