You're nuts if you think they don't want all of Ukraine.
Putin is rebuilding the USSR. He said as much, today.
Russia wants the majority Russia population of East Ukraine. That is easily governable. They could in fact take a tad more than they did in 2016. But the primary issue here is Ukraine threatening to join nato and putting missiles in their country.golfboy » 21 Feb 2022, 9:04 pm » wrote: ↑ They'll want Crimea? They did that in 2016.

But if the issue turns into Ukrainian ethnic sovereignty that will open a whole can of worms that not only Russia wants opened. Poland eoukd be dragged into it as eell...because polish birders are fake and they have a large % of ethnic Ukrainians in their own eastern side.
Literally nobody wants this. Not Russia and not nato. There will be plenty of bluffing, no action.
Weird. They were before when the USSR owned them.
Yeah, that kind of stuff !FOS » 21 Feb 2022, 8:59 pm » wrote: ↑ you mean the stuff that cost us like 2 trillion and provided no benefit whatsoever?

I even granted that they will want Crimea and probably some anti nato demands. But they don't want to rule over ethnic Ukrainians.
I haven't changed my story on that. You are trying to change it for me

they weren't even militarily useful. They literally were meant to destroy Japanese culture.
Not militarily useful? Sorry, do you know what Hiroshima and Nagasaki were?FOS » 21 Feb 2022, 10:03 pm » wrote: ↑ they weren't even militarily useful. They literally were meant to destroy Japanese culture.

They were the backbone of the Japanese military.
Hiroshima was the Headquaters of the 2nd Army and was the defense of southern Japan.
It was also a communications center, and weapons storage point.
Nagasaki was Japan's largest ship building port and the heart of Japan's Navy.
If they were bombing for affect, they would have bombed Tokyo.
That must have been because of all the Sasha Baron Cohen jokes about it!golfboy » 21 Feb 2022, 9:32 pm » wrote: ↑ Not what Putin said today.
Putin took Kazakhstan in January, and no one said a word.
