glad that you are informed. Do you suppose that you would allow people to help get the forum back up? Or would that be taking away from you?Cannonpointer » 01 Apr 2022, 3:42 pm » wrote: ↑ It doesn't accumulate. No bread no service. No service no debt.
You are a former mod over there so maybe you have a way to contact him directly.Imgreatagain » 01 Apr 2022, 4:19 pm » wrote: ↑ glad that you are informed. Do you suppose that you would allow people to help get the forum back up? Or would that be taking away from you?

I don’t communicate with the fools. Hard to make a business transaction

Of course. Everyone knows that when you die, your soul awaits a new home in a cow's belly. This is very basic to all religions.jerrab » 01 Apr 2022, 12:51 pm » wrote: ↑ that is really doctrine of the churches. Christ actually preached reincarnation

Thanks, I thought that might be the case. Makes sense.Cannonpointer » 01 Apr 2022, 6:50 pm » wrote: ↑ You are a registered user and won't need approval in future. It's a thing
@Crazyhole had the same problem .
you’d think that be the case. I’ve reached out to fools. Not sure what the deal is .impartialobserver » 01 Apr 2022, 5:36 pm » wrote: ↑ You are a former mod over there so maybe you have a way to contact him directly.

It seems as though he’s holding the forum hostage. Won’t get it running- but won’t turn it over to someone newsootedupCyndi » 02 Apr 2022, 3:03 pm » wrote: ↑ Maybe you ought to forget about it.. Yea. It does seem like that.Imgreatagain » 02 Apr 2022, 3:11 pm » wrote: ↑ It seems as though he’s holding the forum hostage. Won’t get it running- but won’t turn it over to someone new
Could be, but I've always thought Kfools was a little smarter than that. Every day that site is down, the value goes down as well. Fewer regulars will feel like returning and adding content to his forum. I would think Kfools would be well aware of this. And, for $75, really? If money is what he wants and he wants out of the forum-biz, then he would be better off just letting it run and then selling it without much notice. Spend $150 to capture maybe $2,000 as opposed to $500-$800, which is about what it should bring at this point.Imgreatagain » 02 Apr 2022, 3:11 pm » wrote: ↑ It seems as though he’s holding the forum hostage. I spoke with him the other day. He seems indifferent about the forum. He mentioned that donations could still be taken even with the forum down. I can’t see anyone donating at this point. It’s over. Life goes on.Skans » 04 Apr 2022, 7:59 am » wrote: ↑ Could be, but I've always thought Kfools was a little smarter than that. Every day that site is down, the value goes down as well. A month from now, not even that much. Where you have an established, competing forum with the same name, that domain name isn't worth much all by itself. If I were .Net, I'd hurry up and try to get the name trademarked (if it can be) while the other site is out-of-biz.
My thought is that Kfools would like to get away from that legacy platform and had plans to migrate it to a different host. He probably sees the problems with maintaining that site and monetizing it and has figured it isn't worth his time in the condition .org is in right now. It takes lots of time and some money to do this correctly - i.e. building a new forum while maintaining the legacy forum and then migrating everyone over there. Perhaps its just one of those unfinished projects, like an old 1976 Honda CB750 that sits year after year unloved in your garage perpetually awaiting restoration.
Perhaps you are right. Seems like a bit of a waste to me, and I have always had a hard time understanding waste of any kind. Things I do understand are: Risk, Loss, Success, Learning, Failure, Family, Work, Saving, Spending and Investment, not necessarily in that order.Imgreatagain » 04 Apr 2022, 8:32 am » wrote: ↑ I spoke with him the other day.
