If money is what he wants and he wants out of the forum-biz, then he would be better off just letting it run and then selling it without much notice. Spend $150 to capture maybe $2,000 as opposed to $500-$800, which is about what it should bring at this point.
I'm not in a position to doubt you on this, Jinn. Then, what is your take on this, since you claim its not about Kfools trying to get money?JinnMartini » 04 Apr 2022, 11:18 am » wrote: ↑ That is his lie to everyone !
Money ain't what he wants . . . not from .org anyway !
He got manifolds that amount . . . and from me only !

Is Fools still doing that live debate thing to you tube? I found that rather boring and primitive. BUT the one between Ricky and CP was a riot. Ricky tipped over like- backwards in his chair.. I think in exasperation.. but we thought it looked like he stroked out. It was so FUNNY.. I laughed for two weeks! comical.impartialobserver » 04 Apr 2022, 12:04 pm » wrote: ↑ I have done some exploring around and it seems as if Invision is not the best host for forums.. I am not sure about live debate but he has two YouTube channels and both are fairly active.sootedupCyndi » 04 Apr 2022, 12:12 pm » wrote: ↑ Is Fools still doing that live debate thing to you tube? yikes.. it would be fun to own a forum.impartialobserver » 04 Apr 2022, 12:23 pm » wrote: ↑ I found them last week but had to clear my history (for boring reasons) so do not have any links to offer.
To migrate all of the old posts from one forum (invision hosting) to a new forum (non-invision hosting) would demand a lot of intricate coding (html). Yes, he could pay someone to do this but this is not cheap.
I have two kids and that's enough for me. 5... exhausted just thinking about it.
For the right price, I would buy it and have some minor advertising revenue built in so that I would not have to be dependent on donations. It would irk some long timers but I would **** can most of the older stuff. I would keep the usernames and accounts but their posts from years ago.... bye bye.sootedupCyndi » 04 Apr 2022, 12:27 pm » wrote: ↑ yikes.. it would be fun to own a forum.
But that part would Not be fun. Unless someone like you- you seem to know it- and likes that stuff.. And does it as an interest or a hobby. someone who likes computers.. wish someone would buy it.
Exactly. I always wondered about that too. Scrap the old content.. most of it -is babble. I could care less about my old posts.impartialobserver » 04 Apr 2022, 12:29 pm » wrote: ↑ For the right price, I would buy it and have some minor advertising revenue built in so that I would not have to be dependent on donations. Ok. Let's say Kfools doesn't care about the forum any longer and has no time or energy left to dedicate to it. Why just let it shut down? Why not keep it alive and sell it for a quick buck. He could have sold it for between $1,500 - $3,000 while the forum was up and running. And, you were one of those who liked to point out that he was constantly begging for money, so I would think money must be a factor. The guy didn't strike me as being independently wealthy. It's like trying to sell JCPenney stock after it files for bankruptcy.JinnMartini » 04 Apr 2022, 11:47 am » wrote: ↑ Mhmm . . .
Just to set things straight . . . the fool is not trying to make money ------> out of ****.org . . . he made a lot more than his initial investment already!
But he definitely tries to make money elsewhere.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Now, that said . . . I think there are 2 possibilities worth considering.
He turned "mommo" now that CommiesSlayingGirl is taking care of business, with interviews and book-writing, she probably does not have that much time to raise 5 and by now possibly 6 kids !
So he took that role over.
--------------------------------------------
Another possibility is that he too is into some kind of political endeavor and has no time to care about a forum with a weekly average of 10 / 15 visitors who only sporadically donate $20 on average every time he begs for it (me not included, of course).
So they may very well have hired 1 or 2 maids to take care of the kids so they can go about their businesses without any "hindrance" !
--------------------------------------------
Can't really tell, though.

Earlier on in life, I used to brag that I drove a Porsche. It was a 1977 Porsche 911. I was not doing well financially and as soon as it needed any repairs.. I started to drown and basically gave it away. For the short time that it ran... oh my, it was fun. A speeding ticket waiting to happen. By the time that you shifted to 3rd gear, you could be going 65 mph
I never caught that bug - had lots of friends who did. I required that my cars qualify for one adjective only: serviceabe. I saw them purely as a means to an end: transport. I got a LITTLE pickier as I got older. Wouldn't drive my tires down to bald to save a buck, for example. Wouldn't replace my tire with some other guy's trade ins.impartialobserver » 04 Apr 2022, 2:47 pm » wrote: ↑ Earlier on in life, I used to brag that I drove a Porsche. It was a 1977 Porsche 911. I lied about kfoo BTW. He's a family man with a good head on his shoulders. You probably couldn't give him a Lamburghini. You damned sure couldnt give me one.

Father-in-law at the time sold it to us and I was ecstatic. Drove it down from Sandpoint, ID in the winter (2002) and by April, I was in over my head. It needed work on it's fuel injection system, new tires, and some major body work. I got an estimate on the fuel injection system ($1000 and having to ship some of it to Los Angeles). I needed a new car after only 5 to 6 months. I wisened up after that.
