I'll be completely honest: right now I'm ashamed of the current state of law enforcement, so I'm not going to react to your usual anti-cop ****. Government has worked so hard to get social workers they've stopped recruiting people of action. NONE of the guys I worked with would ever have hesitated to go in if kids' lives were at stake. To publicly state you didn't go in because "I might get shot!" nauseates me to no end. This will be the first 1911 platform I own.
I'm becoming aware that they're a little more needy than the Glocks I'm used to.

Guns are very loud in enclosed spaces like houses,schools,grocery stores etc.
A lot of people are putting silencer/supressors on their home defense guns.
