 It is a very good looking gun.

1911's are pieces of industrial art IMHO.

That said, they are more maintenance intensive than some other platforms, and require more training and practice to utilize effectively.

Everybody needs a hobby.

But $600 invested in 2 or 3 cheap 9mm's is a recipe for disaster.  With guns you genuinely do get what you pay for.  Buy junk to defend your life with, and I can guarantee you it will fail when the chips are down.

I don't carry a $2500 custom gun by any means, but I do have a solid, proven platform that acts as my personal protection tool... and there's zero possibility of me acquiring such with $200.00.
