I do not hate the police I want to change policing in this country to a model of community policing.
I would like the police to be a trusted institution so that people feel they can report to them with no qualms or fears.
That means stopping the culture of lying in the police departments and encouraging them to communicate with their communities so that they know who the criminals are.
A military standoff lying authoritarian power Trip is not it.
It's not effective and it is offensive to the freedom of the citizens.

Seattle is a beautiful city whose biggest problem is that it is a victim of its own success.
There's so much money floating around this town the real estate prices have gone up to the point where someone in the lower middle class cannot afford to buy a house.

Seattle has already changed a lot. We are moving toward a model of community policing. We got rid of the liar Carmen best. We are making progress

I think the police should be a respected profession like a doctor or a lawyer or an accountant. They should be pillars of the community respected for always telling the truth. I think they should be paid more. I think the educational requirements should be more. I think they should spend more time in training as cadets.
