I bought a Desert Eagle 44 mag back around 2000.  I hardly ever use it.  Not because it's too big and heavy, which it is.  .44mag ammo is always outrageously expensive. 
 

    How well does it function?
 Seems like .44 mag is awful powerful for a semi auto pistol.
Seems like it would eat itself.
I've priced some .44 ammo and it's very expensive but it isn't like I'll be shooting it all of the time like 9mm.

Ive never had a revolver jamb on me. If I need more than 12 shots which would be doubtful I’m heading for the gun safe in the closet for the rifle.

 A Glock 20,extra mag and either a Buck 110 or Damascus fixed blade.
 Shot my first pistol at age 8.. 
. Unlike you I don't think owning guns is pussified. I have a pile of them. From a .177 air rifle all the way up to a TRex killing .45-70 Marlin and a few in between.

It's .410, not 4-10.  Even if someone casually omits the punctuation, you can still say 410.  But no one writes it as "4-10."  Just because you say it "four ten" doesn't mean you add a hyphen.
