Slavery was not even legal in the North or the west bro...plenty of whites did menial labor.. plenty of whites worked in coal mines with far worse working conditions than a cotton plantation...you guys were often a little blessed compared to factory and mining work 

And you know how white people produced wealth? They invented ****. White people invented the tractor for example...which works a lot harder than the negro while needing less maintenance and never starting race riots. That dramatically increased the efficiency of agriculture well above slave labor.

black people could have ended slavery and made a lot of money if they had invented the tractor...but your brothers in Africa are to this day still working on inventing the wheel.

I've seen this before and it's impressive..!
There is also a traditional Norwegian cabin build video that takes you through the whole process. It's amazing work.

How is it that you believe the fact that our purchase of goods like those you mentioned keep Africa in poverty?  Are you really so unaware of the corrupt nature and history of almost every country in Africa and how THAT has been what keeps them in poverty, or are those factors irrelevant to a liberal?
And which countries in Africa has the US EVER fought a war against by ourselves, and which were fought by a "proxy" since Israel fought Egypt over 40 years ago that could possibly have caused their poverty today?

First of all, I don't need the help of a liberal Democrat like you to explain your revisionist view of history to me.  Secondly, any time we fought against communism and Islam in Africa ONLY came after we were the target of their terrorist attacks.  So you need to further explain what the **** you're referring to.

Plantation slavery engaged in for profit production of cash crops, predominantly cotton, tobacco and indigo, are what led to prosperity of the South. After the Civil War, debt peonage of both Black and White sharecroppers, led to prosperity of a select few.

How is it any different that the slaves brought here worked plantation farms, while slaves STILL TODAY IN AFRICA are used to dig in that continent's mineral-rich mines, yet those countries are still among the poorest in the world almost 200 years AFTER we ended slavery here?  It kind of proves that American wealth DID NOT rise quickly because of slavery as you stated, if no other country has generated the same kind of wealth that we have, don't you think?

My Great, great, great, great Grandfather was hung by the Confederates in his efforts to FREE THE BLACK SLAVES. If anything, these BLACKS OWE ME BIGLY!!! What's a life worth these days in a court of law?? $10 million?? $20 million or even maybe $50 million for all the pain and suffering out family has endured since 1864.

more people died defending slavery. 

They were also the one that lost most of their wealth but then stole it back just after the Compromise of 1877.

Bcuz the ones that exploit the resources use tyrants to enslave and threaten the population.

That is not precisely what happened. A lot of the plantation aristocracy died in the Civil War. Some of them regained their control, others made deals with carpetbaggers. Others migrated to California. One group actually packed up their slaves and moved to Brazil. Their descendants still live there, in the cities of Santa Barbara d'Oeste and Americana in Sao Paulo State.
