When you get blacks into a position where it is almost impossible to be fired they literally quit working. That was the problems having blacks take union jobs in Detroit. They were protected by the unions and almost impossible to fire and even harder to replace since the white flight took place shortly after the great migration. 

The big three said **** it and left town.
Detroit filed for bankruptcy in 1957, not even two decades after the great migration north.

I know. Think you are seeing it backwards or a tad myopic but can understand the prerogative. Unions using disadvantaged people to control industry predated golden era Detroit.

WTF is wrong with you? Teenagers with zero work experience, as well as how to deal with the public, have a place to start learning the basics. They don't have to stay, unless they don't have the drive to succeed. They learn to appreciate what they toil for as well, giving some the incentive to get ahead with a better paying trade or education. But I know you, the dolt who believes everyone should have everything handed to them in perfect proportion, right? Regardless of the teen's behavior, drive, or work performance? It pains me to say this because I have some really good friends that are black, damn good people  but as a whole, I know our society today would be better off if the former slaves were shipped off

The topic is literally about money. Slavery wasn't a net positive for the American economy. It's aftermath far exceeds any conceivable benefit. On a human level, the descendants of slaves have immeasurably better qualities of life than they would have had their ancestors remained in Africa.

Their ancestors would have  still been sold into slavery... Maybe probably bought up by the Ottoman empire ...

Most would have been slaughtered, the rest worked to death. Slavery gave tribal battlefield captures value.

So, what kind of life would you have with out the corporations ?

where you think the Walmart employee should be paid equal to that of a corporate worker with a degree ....
you live in lala land ....that land of make believe where you have put yourself on a pedestal but have no real merit to justify higher wages ......

You mean all of those southern plantation owners who had all of their wealth stripped from them without compensation?  This was a violation of the 5th Amendment.  The slave owners were never compensated for their freed slaves. Those reparations are real and must be actually be paid to the descendants of slave owners, under our laws and Constitution.  So, descendants of slaves can go F-off.
 

Most of the South was wooded,and before anything could be planted, the land needed to be cleared and plowed. Members of the 5 civilized Tribes (Cherokee, Choctaw, Creek, Chickasaw and Seminole) were agrarian and they cleared off some of the land before Andrew Jackson forced them off to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears. But most of the land was cleared by slave labor. And keep in mind that there were no chainsaws, tractors or even really good plows.
The wealth of the South came from the land that was cleared off by slaves and planted in tobacco,indigo and cotton and a few other crops grown for export,and. of course corn.

Working people should be paid accordingly. When production and profits go up so should working people’s wages.
