I have never operated a private website. The website that is my domain is a government one.. so no need for ad revenue. Now as for the design, coding, data, etc.. that would be right up my alley.

If one has ever donated via Paypal then a person would just pay via Paypal to the same end user. Each time I donated, I got an email receipt of it so the username can be found by looking at them.

Dont trust them anymore. They banned me for no reason after 22 years!!! and locked up my money. They were doing a conservative sweep.. they went woke. They said they didn't care if they lost half the members.

I am just pointing out that there is a way to donate to .org even if they site is down.

But who's going to bother? .. its kind of like he turned on his members. And left them homeless.. they are immigrants here.. we let them in without their masks.

I do not know who would bother. Again, just pointing that it can be done. It would be interesting to hear why he gave no warning whatsoever. I thought that he was more of an upfront, standup guy. apparently, not so.

My guess is that .org is somewhere around 35th or so on his priority list and he has lost his passion for it. Typing up a bunch of stuff and having it be 100% pointless and meaningless gets old after awhile.

If the price was low enough, I would purchase it. Not paying 2k for it. If I was to purchase it, i would bring ad revenue into the game. If it was possible, I would keep it to a minimum and have some sort of way that members opt in and therefore can keep their information locked behind a vault if need be.

You've got some good ideas.  I like your idea of the ad revenue and the "opt out" provision.  Maye you can get some ammo/gun ad revenue??? 

I would really like to see someone like you, with your skills and impartiality, purchase the forum.  Yes, the price has to be right and, I know where you are coming from. If the site was up and running, had a lot of traffic and was easy to monetize, it would cost a lot more than 2K.  But, as it i snow, I think that price is a bit steep.  He's selling essentially a dead website. And, one which has a competing website by the same name. 

Hey, make an offer - all he can say is "no". If you do decide to do this, I would suggest giving Imgreatagain a pm and see if you can do this outside of the fray publicly.

yea I guess your right.. kind of sad tho. I prefer this place..altho that one is very similiar.. just little differences.
but visa versa for others.. you know.
the layouts on both sites is pretty good. some forums are just awful..

Between me and a couple of the other guys (and one lady) we could at least give you names of companies we really like, actually buy stuff from, that you could at least reach out to. I don't know if that's how it works, if not feel free to ignore me.

Reached out to imgreatagain. Anyways, feel free to send a list of companies/products. If the more liberal folks do not like it... they have options such as this forum. I am not sure how it all works either but this is not my first rodeo with new technology. Before starting here in mid-2015.. I'd be glad to.  But, don't write off the liberal folks.  I'm sure they have their products and interests they wouldn't mind seeing support the website as well.  One suggestion, if you are going to have ads, you may need to institute one new rule which says "no attacking any of the sponsors - they pay so you don't have to"

Well, have to get back to the fun. Thanks for the input . Going to research how to have the opt-in or opt-out.. or if it is even possible.

oh sure they do. She seems to wear a cross and be very against feminism.  I always got the impression.. stand by your man... stay home- raise the kids.. not that there is anything wrong with that.. But I  am middle of the road. And dont take an extreme view either way...
