The only one I watched was Cannon and Ricky debate. It was pretty funny. Right in the middle of it. Ricky leaned back in his chair. We thought he was having a stroke or gonna take a nap.

Use the dollars you save on the purchase to use Googles Ad Sense to advertise your site for folks who are searching for political forums. Have a giveaway of $100 worth of Amazon or Starbucks gift cards for new posters for the first three months. Whatever.
Use some of the $3k you're not throwing away to kfools to hire a lawyer and get some advice on contests as well as set up a LLC to run the site under.
Or, pay kfools a lot of money and wind up with an albatross.

I am in the very preliminary stages and more exploring than anything. I am a newbie to this side of the operation. Yes, I work on a website daily but mostly in the form of simple html and databases.

In light of what Phelix Decat posted to me, I think that this is the way to go. There are a few stalwarts from the .org days that do not post on here that I would like to bring over.. Rippy, SixShooter, and BatteryPowered

As I posted to Skans.. not sure if this can be done. Preliminary idea is to have an option where folks can opt in or opt out of ads. If they want their info behind lock and key, they could do so.

The original owner, before Kfools, tried to get some advertising, but some really raw sexual content ended that endeavor.
I wonder if someone could could just buy the domain name and just start new? Leave all that poisonous garbage behind.

This seems to be a case of coming full circle. I was a member there when the great split occurred. I think I joined in 2011. Then whatever happened, happened and I ended up here.
