It is surprising to me that those whom want to transition are not seeing a psychologist first.

And if you are going to use whom, **** use it correctly. It is the OBJECTIVE case - not the subjective.
Here's an easy cheat: Who is going to the store? HE is going to the store. The store was gone to by whon? By HIM.
Who = he, Him = whom. Always.
So, even if we do not understand WHY the usage is correct (objectve vs subjective case), we know HOW to use he and him. Therefore, do a turnabout and make a question that must be answered with he or him. That will tell you whether the sentence you are constructing should use who or whom.
Another hack: When using plural subjects, folks often flub the form of pronouns. If the two of you went to the store, did you and her go, or did you and she go? Most folks would say that you and her went to the store. But they would NEVER say her went to the store.
So, the hack is this: Simply make two SINGULAR case sentences, then combine them: I went to the store, she went to the store: she and I went to the store. Not me and her - she and I. Not her and you. She and you.
I was unaware that psychological exams were not performed. I thought that parents would go that route first.Cannonpointer » 22 Apr 2022, 9:44 am » wrote: ↑ They are beig rushed by your kind, fruitcake. All that virtue signalling "support" you *** feel compelled to provide.

I would ask about how their friends and family view them as a trans. I would ask if they have other friends that feel the same way they do. If anyone is pushing it on them. How they feel about themselves.Jantje_Smit » 22 Apr 2022, 10:21 am » wrote: ↑ You claim to be a psychologist I believe.... what would you tell one of those kids that says he/she wants to become a girl/boy?

after years of hearing that being transgender is okay and they may not be the gender they were born, how can they truly know what their feelings are?Pastafarian » 22 Apr 2022, 11:49 am » wrote: ↑ I would ask about how their friends and family view them as a trans. But everyone is different.
Maybe order a brain scan if they insist they are not influenced by outside forces?
I really do believe that some are sincere with their feelings.

Some don’t hear it but instead they share their feelings.jerrab » 22 Apr 2022, 12:01 pm » wrote: ↑ after years of hearing that being transgender is okay and they may not be the gender they were born, how can they truly know what their feelings are?
may be. but with all these influences how can anyone be sure? that is why there should be a halt on transgenders in movies and books, no outside influences to confuse developing minds.Pastafarian » 22 Apr 2022, 12:04 pm » wrote: ↑ Some don’t hear it but instead they share their feelings.
Those would be the honest ones.
