Musk is a muti-billionaire who has made no money to my knowledge outside of carbon credits and tax credits - nothing useful, nothing having to do with consumers but rather, having to do with tax payers and cozy wall street reationships.
A man allowed to do such things - I said it: allowed - is no friend of freedom.
Look. Musk seems a wonderful fellow, based on PR and recent utterances. But he is one of the ruling class - the do nothing elite, - on a mission of diversion, giving the right false hope. Every minute wasted cheering for deus ex machina diversions is a minute NOT spent productively.
Name a product or venture that Musk is associated with which has ever made a penny by providing consumers with value, and I might amend my argument. Don't say a word about Tesla, though - it's a money loser, if you take away the free money from tax subsidies and carbon credits.

I'm not saying that freedom of speech is not important. The truth though is that Twitter can notify it's content regulations. The alternative would be for the government to do it. That remains the danger IMHO. Furthermore, there are legal restrictions on free speech that are codified into law. You can't say fire in a crowded theater is a refrain from the supreme court. My point is that will be a difficult position for anyone to be in.

Prohibiting censorship is neither censorship nor content control. It is merely making the game rules of PUBLIC corporations conform to PUBLIC policy.
It is against public policy for banks - even private ones - to discriminate based on race. Is that government control of a bank's lending scheme? Or is it creating public policy to which that bank and all of its competitors must adhere?
People have rights - but so do societies as such. When we take a man's property through eminent domain, a crime has been committed agaist him - for the public good. So it is legal. A legal crime. Because the public - as such, as the public - has interests which will sometimes override private interests.
