Gosh, all they want to do is protect the right of self-professed child dangers to talk about wanting to **** kids - you know, hold support meetings and stuff.

Your paranoid concerns that they might use these socially protected hookups to conspire against children means YOU are a closet pedophile. How else can we explain your over-reaction to child abusers?

I mean, no heroin dealer EVER sat in on an N.A. meeting, right? These gatherings could NEVER come to a bad end. Nothing wrong with a bunch  of adults sitting around and talking about how much fun it would be to sodomize a baby, in a legally sanctioned environment protected by hate crime laws. Where's the harm?

Us mental health professionals are interested in why we behave in the ways we do.  When it comes to socially and culturally unacceptable behavior, we ask ourselves  "OK...what happened to this person that caused them to behave in this way?"  Sometimes it's a mental illness caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain.  Sometimes it's because of things done to them as young children that has altered how their mind works in a "negative", socially unacceptable way.  That so many children are treated in despicable ways is a collective responsibility.  Of course it's on the culture.

I don't care what goes on in the biochemistry of a criminal's brain, I would prefer the death penalty.
