He either had a wait-and-see approach (which would be understandable because symptoms often begin mildly), or his doctor or pharmacy let him down.

If your wife or kids die of COVID, because you failed to properly prepare for your family, their death would be on your hands because you can no longer pretend ignorance.

That's why in my opinion everyone intelligent enough to understand dosage should have their immune systems, as well as their medicine cabinets and travel bag prepared, for immediate treatment upon the presentation of symptoms.
