Biden is old.  Senile.  Demented.  Easter-Bunny dangerous to the Democrats.  Democrats will not support Biden for a 2nd Term.  Without Dem's 100% logistical and financial support, Biden can't campaign.  They will "gently" explained this to Biden by the end of this year, if it hasn't been told to him already. 

There is no reason for the Dems to force Biden out of office yet.  First, they aren't ready. Second, they can still control the presidency without a competent president.

The important thing is for Republicans to understand precisely what the Dems are up to and why.  Republicans need to be developing several offensive strategies to keep Dems unfocused and fractured, as well as defensive strategies for muck the Dems will be throwing at any and all Republican candidates.

Nixon resigned, not sure Biden will, Trump resisted. Nixon was responsible, Biden actually participated, Trump represented America.
