yes oil flooding in from Canada is a bad thing .. making it impossible to obtain leases, permits, and raising Carbon fees really just makes the US Consumer very happy .... and pissing off the Middle East leaders has done us a world of wonders (they don't even take his calls ... lol )

Congress is too cowardly to tackle climate change by allowing fossil fuel prices to rise. They will beg for imports, hand out permits like candy and appease ME dictators.

Please take a basic logic class ... you are so busy trying to defend a bad policy --that you are abandoning all logic... 

lol so your logic is  -- importing oil on ships from other countries doesn't pollute ... but shipping oil out of the US on ships DOES pollute??? 
...  You do know that ships do not run on renewable energy (whether they come into or going out of the U.S.!!!)

Your logic also doesn't take into account the low carbon emissions of a pipeline ...  

and calling people names really isn't helping you drive home any points ...

If you could get all of the so call renewable generators online at the same time (and that is a big IF due to maintenance, no wind, and no sun) they would produce around 17%-18% of the U.S. energy needs .... I would politely point out we are NOT in a position to switch to renewable energy ... yet. 

Presently the renewable energy companies earn far more from tax benefits and subsidies than they ever earn from the energy they produce.  These companies could not be in business without the subsidies... These companies only exist because of the free money the U.S. gives them.  So I would suggest that the technology isn't there yet to sustain renewable energy ... yet.

WAVES NEVER STOP, just different sizes, & TIDES happen twice EVERY day, & yet we have yet to even begin tapping them.  I read that some of President Biden's Infrastructure bill will begin doing research on Wave & Tidal Generators.  Public demand from all political sides could turn the tide, pun intended.

The world’s largest windmill farm (in Texas) was entirely built and is operated by a private business.  Electric generation plants are privately own.  If a business is viable, private companies will do it.  Quit relying on a nanny state to do everything for you.
