I'm telling you that it is only an article from 2017. Read the entire Wikipedia entry and you will get a broader picture. The crisis began after the Arab Spring in 2011. Trump was the first to use weapons against the Assad regime directly but as of now and at the period Trump left office there wasn't a direct conflict between the Syrian government and US backed forces. You can choose not to believe me but I tend to be well informed on matters such as this.
