It's not about pride. Making this out to be a product of some mental deficiency of Putin's is **** juvenile. Jfk told the ussr that his red line was the 38th parallel. If Soviet missiles crossed that line it would be answered with nuclear war. Cuba is a hell of a lot further away from America than Ukraine is to Russia. Their demand wasn't unhinged, it wasn't based on Putin's erectile dysfunction or his cancer or his pride. It's pretty clear that it is Putin being petty. Ukraine had a right to join NATO and Putin made up some **** about their president being a NAZI. The government will never pass a law requiring lawful citizens to surrender their guns. Too many politicians in the NRA's pocket.

No evidence of any intentional targeting of civilians. If Russia wanted to indiscriminately flatten Kiev they certainly have the air power to do it. No evidence they were deliberately targeted. You do understand that Russian Air power could flatten Kiev with conventional bombs, right? High altitude bombers well out of reach of their anti air defenses. Obviously flattening or taking Kiev isn't on their agenda.
