What had long been apparent to me, is becoming increasingly apparent to many observers, journalists, and even some theologians. That the religious right has grown increasingly DIVORCED from any semblance of the "Christianity" they profess to believe in.

Yes, they'll trot on down to their places of worship, and piously cant scriptured notions such as "love thy neighbor"  and "blessed be the meek" but don't think that an ever increasing number of them BELIEVE in it... not one bit.

Because many of them have replaced those sentiments with those of hate and intolerance for whomever and WHATever they perceive as "other."

Some introspectives re the above:

How evangelicals abandoned Christianity — and became "conservatives" instead | Salon.com

"Evangelical leaders have focused their agenda on protecting things they feel entitled to, while focusing the attention of their followers on what they define as the enemies of God. That fear of God's enemies has allowed billions of dollars of donations to flow into the hands of religious hypocrites.

They have convinced millions of Christians that the enemies of God are people who live south of the border, who are coming for their guns, their jobs, their property, their health insurance, their taxes and even their families. Trump tapped masterfully into the fear planted by evangelical leaders in the hearts of their followers.

In the end, millions of Christians have abandoned their faith for a narrow-minded political ideology."

What about the religious left, is there one?
What is religion?
Mormons, Jews, Islamist, so many more.
Who were the Brahmins, who are they now,
what is the narrative, where does it lead?
What is logic, the logical way of thinking is subdued by the bulwark narrative,
A defensive structure, where are the walls constructed and why?

You got to feel your way through, but how.
Don't those questions all sound like someone is trying to sign you up for some crazy hinged fanatical religion?

Yeah,
The founding of the very special elite started with the Neoliberal leader Ronald Regan.
This was where the natural order of the Milton Friedman's of the world got their wish,
and called it unfettered Capitalism.

Where's the Gods truth in all of that?

Well, I happen to be a Christian. And I know that organized religions have had (historically) many "sins" to atone for. But personally I've never used it as an excuse to hate someone because of their race, colour, religion, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, or age.  Rather, my disdain is for the hate based mentalities and ideologies many so-called "Christians" embrace. Much of it, of late has devolved into absolute QUACKERY.

The one who is "sick" is the deceitful lying mfkr who
  • poses as a liberal so he can post in a "Liberals Only" forum
  • has called all of my links "lies" without proof of even one
  • has fraudulently called them all "links to porn" in an attempt to bring discredit to this forum
  • has now stooped to posting fraudulent quotes as though they were written by me
  • has called Covid "a hoax"
  • and has attempted to change his screen name to bypass PG enable threads so he can troll them as well
YOU ARE SCUM.

A CLOSER LOOK:

The right winged plot to compromise the Supreme Court has been a long going affair and the collusion between right winged, conservative interests, like how Clarence THOMas and Anthony Scalia would shuffle off to conservative think tank meetings was NO secret. Nor did it have to be since the highest court in the land has NO ethics guidelines.

‘Operation Higher Court’: Inside the religious right’s efforts to wine and dine Supreme Court justices - POLITICO

A former evangelical leader details his group’s extensive program to influence Justices Thomas, Alito and Scalia through meals and entertainment.

The former leader of a religious right organization said he recruited and coached wealthy volunteers including a prominent Dayton, Ohio, evangelical couple to wine, dine and entertain conservative Supreme Court justices while pushing conservative positions on abortion, homosexuality, gun restrictions and other issues.

Rob Schenck, an evangelical minister who headed the Faith and Action group headquartered near the Supreme Court from 1995 to 2018, said he arranged over the years for about 20 couples to fly to Washington to visit with and entertain Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and the late Antonin Scalia." [may he burn in hell]
