More about hunting with the 556:
223/5.56 as a deer hunting caliber. While shots should still be limited to ranges maxing out at around 100 yards (the small bullet just sheds too much energy beyond that range), hunters can now feel confident in taking their rifles afield during deer season.Nov 3, 2016

223/5.56 is NOT a legal big game hunting caliber, but 6.5 Grendel, 243 WSSM, etc. would be a legal caliber to hunt big game. There are similar restrictions in other states like Connecticut, Iowa, Virginia, New Jersey, Washington, and West Virginia, etc.May 21, 2018

Do you know why it is not legal to hunt BIG game with a 556? Because it is not powerful enough. States make it illegal to hunt with because it may not injure the animal.
So much got your ammo theory,
We know why Stoner developed it to go with the AR..Huey » 09 Jun 2022, 5:20 pm » wrote: ↑ @Blackvegetable
Peopke do use 556 for hunting, you need knowledge on this topic
Some people use it for antelope and deer, but many consider it not powerful enough. The 5.56 mm round is a great hunting round for mid sized game like smaller hogs and coyotes. It not your go to rabbit cartridge and it's a bit underwhelming as a deer cartridge but it certainly has its place in the world

Next, all those S&W rifles I posted with a link are fine. NONE of them bear the name AR 15.
we see your ancestral displacement demanding words mean more than actual life in plain sight. realities are dream state of minds acted ancestrally out until fruition by laws that rule until extinction event arrives and nobody saw it coming.Blackvegetable » 09 Jun 2022, 5:47 pm » wrote: ↑ No...we know that because we can't see my words in the required format.

I just found and read the pertinent portion, your citation has errors. Stoner didn’t develop the 5.56 x 45mm NATO round.Blackvegetable » 09 Jun 2022, 5:44 pm » wrote: ↑ It's not a "theory", dumb ****....it is fact.

See ya tomorrow Mary.
Read your messages.
“The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has officially standardized the 5.7x28 mm caliber, the third cartridge from the engineers at FN to receive the critical designation. The other two from the company, the 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO, were accepted and adopted in 1981 and 1957, respectively. Standardization ensures the ammunition is interchangeable—regardless of country of original or manufacturer—and will provide operational efficiency in identically chambered firearms.”
What do you believe that demonstrates?Cedar » 09 Jun 2022, 7:31 pm » wrote: ↑ “The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has officially standardized the 5.7x28 mm caliber, the third cartridge from the engineers at FN to receive the critical designation. You missed the "respectively", didn't you.
Cretin
Because my bet is that your "evidence" that my citation is wrong is the year the OTHER round was adopted.
