If George Washington could watch WWI in 3-D, I doubt it would have much impact on him at all. George Washington was born in 1732 and died before the turn of that century. WWI was a war that was fought on foreign lands that lasted a few years commencing in 1914. This was over 150 years in the future from when Washington was actively engaged in our new country's affairs.FOS » 16 Jun 2022, 11:33 am » wrote: ↑ explain it to him. lets go, boy. the founding fathers clearly had no idea of how much warfare would change after ww1. EVERYONE was surprised by that.
are you gonna tell us that if george washington knew of the future of mechanized warfare it would have NO impact on his philosophy?
if he knew about the future of demographics, it would have NO impact on his philosophy?
those are pretty baseless assumptions.
But then again, im making assumptions about your analysis of this situation, and IM guessing your real thoughts are even stupider than my own.
explain it.

One of the men to credit for why repeating arms became much less expensive during the 19th century is James Madison, author of the Second Amendment. During Madison’s presidency (1809-17), Secretary of War James Monroe (who would succeed Madison as president), successfully promoted legislation to foster the development of firearms technology. In particular, the federal armories at Springfield, Mass., and Harpers Ferry, Va., were ordered to invent the means of producing firearms with interchangeable parts.

The argument that muskets were the only weapons available and that rifles that could fire multiple times were unheard of pure and utter ****.
Do you think the man credited with being the author of the 2nd Amendment knew what the **** he meant?
**** moron.Huey » 17 Jun 2022, 8:19 am » wrote: ↑ If you would like to discuss it you can. This is about weather or not the flounders could envision any other than a musket that had to be reloaded after every shot.
James Madison could.
Explain why not machine gun, Sheilagh...
lmao! No sir. Well, I did work Maint for a year until I was a Crew member. Then I carried an M 60D, a 38, M16A1 then an M16A2, then a 9 mm.
Then don’t. Your call.
Read the NFA of 1934. Let them explain it to you. Links have been posted for you.
An Honest answer. We're **** no matter what.Neo » 17 Jun 2022, 8:19 am » wrote: ↑ There is no solution outside of banning all guns from public ownership. The crazed would switch to mowing down crowds with SUVs. When we ban large vehicles the deranged will predictably switch to explosives and poisons. We need to stop trying to legislate our way out of this, laws only impact the law abiding. Bubble wrapping society is not only oppressive, its futile.
I get to learn about these vast right wing conspiracies from you ****. Qanon was a couple of imaginative idiots with a tiny following until liberal media gave them relevance. You **** are creating your own opposition.

We are not ****. In the past I have posted, even to you, common sense measures we can take. But these measures don’t tackle getting illegally obtained weapons off the streets. In major cities like Chicago those under 21 are shooting people with hand guns. Under 21 year olds are not allowed by law to own hand guns or even purchase the ammo.
There's always an uptick in gun sales after a mass shooting.roadkill » 17 Jun 2022, 8:53 am » wrote: ↑ Do you know why a lot of women are now buying guns and getting training in the use of those guns?
Because the 2nd A. allows them to protect themselves against rapists and murderers.
P.S. Those women are NOT buying Muskets.
The last mass shooting at the school was legally purchased. We are ****.Huey » 17 Jun 2022, 8:57 am » wrote: ↑ We are not ****. We have to enforce the laws we already have and clamp down on illegal weapons. Most crimes are committed with them. “Ar 15s” are used relatively rarely in gun crimes.
