Everyone loves their representatives and think the other States representatives suck. It's tribalism.

That's a stretch!  I DESPISE my reps and most Republicans in my state agree with me, but we're stuck in a deep blue state that isn't very concerned about Republicans when Democrats have complete control over the state.  Not that we've exhibited any great love between them and their sheep who re-elect liberals every year, even though they still complain about them.

This year the approval rating for congress is around 20%.  That means the overwhelming majority disapprove of congress.  As most Americans disapprove of Biden.  

Both of those points means Americans agrees on something.  And the best you can muster is calling the messenger an asshole.

Here ya go:

Approval ratings for congress are habitually low. They always have been. There are a couple years, 2001-2002, that were high, but overall, their approval ratings are usually embarrassingly low. The data here only goes back to 1974, but it's not a stretch to say that it's always this way.
