No.  Guns serve a much greater purpose.

If you have the Kyancah, or the Crones, you can't fix that with a gun. And I don't think anyone has suggested we have to choose one freedom or the other. We can have both. It's not a contest.

Weed can make the difference between life and death. I have as much right to grab your gun from you, as you have to take your neighbor's sack of weed. Which is zero, precisely.

You can only delegate rights you HAVE - not rights you don't. Are you genuinely thick enough to believe that you have a right to go snooping around on your neighbor and telling him what he can and cannot smoke in his house? And if YOU don't have that right, then I don't either - so how can we delegate it? Aren't all JUST laws derived from the governed?

Here is what I would say about that. You have a right to stop me from dealing drugs to your kids. You have a right to stop me from driving high on roads they use. You even have a right to say, if you're going to use drugs that are known to produce psychosis, you had best keep that **** in your house, because if you're using it out here around my family, I'm gonna act.

Now, THOSE rights? ^ THOSE rights you actually possess, and can delegate - unlike the phantom right of prohibition. THOSE rights translate to strong REGULATORY powers of government, in furtherance of your legitimte regultory interests as a citizen. 

You have no prohibition interest.  A man's home is his castle, and in it, he should be free of busy-bodies with their noses in his affairs.

2. that your thinking cap needs an adjustment.

You say they should receive no social services, welfare, medical assistance, etc., as a condition of legalization. Well, no worries. We ain't legalizing - that would cut the bankers out. But they're getting all of those things. That's the status quo that you support and I oppose. I'm in favor of legalizing, taxing and regulating all drugs. People should not be able to use a lot of these poisons without a license and permits and bonds - they're that big a hazard. But you want to let the criminal element continue to (mis)handle all of that.

You say they should not be allowed to **** up public places, as a condition of legalization. Well, no worries. We ain't legalizing - and they're **** up public places. If they had been required to submit usage itineraries as a condition of purchase, this would not be the case.

You seem schizophrenic on this topic. Listening to you, I would think you are AGAINST kids getting hooked on drugs. But then you turn right around and defend the very system that has criminal cartels in charge of regulating drug sales. You DO understand that the cartels actually target kids, yes? You're so intent on controling that which you CANNOT control, that you lose any ability to legitimately regulate. I'm good enough with NOT controlling, but influencing and regulating. I favor a system that would give society GREATER control. Right now, the criminals regulate drugs - for their interests. In my view, SOCIETY should regulate drugs, for OUR interests. And the bad ones? The really bad ones should have the greatest level of regulation, as they pose the greatest threat to society's wellbeing.

If I had my way, I would go to war with Mexico and China over what they have done to our Citizens through addictive chemicals.  As far as I'm concerned, this is a form of chemical warfare.  I'd give one stern warning to Mexico - keep you drugs, your gangs, your **** out of America.  That's it then I'd start by wiping out all of Mexico, making it look 10x worse than Ukraine. And then, if necessary, I'd plow into China next.

I'm not a Libertarian.  Never will be and never will cede America's chemical addiction to Mexico, China or any other stinking country.  No more Mexicans - the World will get the message.
