Disney has no desire to piss off parents. But it is difficult to find talented singers and actors to play the necessary roles in Disney World. Not everyone can sing and dance, in fact most cannot and will not do it all day for the somewhat meager wages that Disney pays. Far less than Broadway or off broadway. DeSantis, who wants of be president and thinks he will do this by being a less annoying and crooked blowhard like Trump started this with his "dont say gay" bill. There was no issue here, parents were not complaining about teachers making their kids gay. At most, teachers were only stressing TOLERANCE of all lifestyles. So DeSantis picked this issue and the performers at Disney, many of whom are gay and nearly all of whom think the LBGTQ people should have equal rights, went on strike because they knew that Disney was contributing big bucks to DeSantis. So Disney declared that they would no longer contribute to either party and DeSantis, who wanted REVENGE at his loss of money, went **** and went after Disney's perks.

Don't feed me the crap that parents demanded the end of the Reedy Creek Improvement District. Not one Floridian in fifty even was aware of Disney's sweeheart deals from the 1960s'/

Thank you for that entirely false narrative.

I looked into that because the Netflix series I am watching now..is so full of ridiculous  "WOKENESS" that it is actually pretty funny.
The series is called "STRANGER THINGS" and it's basically a great story full of suspense, imagination and drama.
Not the highest budget production..but good enough I think. 
Most / many  of the males are weak, skinny, very girlish  ***.
The women are the competent, fearless, WORLD SAVING HEROES of course.
The boys even wear lip stick, eye make up...even more than the girls....

Around 2/3 of Disney Parks customers don’t have children less than 18 years old.

The entire stock market, both bonds and stock are down/ Even gold and cybercurrencies are way down. The market is not based on earnings of the companies involved: it is based on what some people THINK OTHER investors will invest in based on future prospects.

Disney is selling at a rather low price. It is almost a sure thing that the price will rise sharply at some time in the future. Certainly within the next three years.

I think all the controversy still probably hasn't hit their bottom line to the extent to represent their painful loss in equity value. There is probably just a sell off due to the dislike of some investors of the controversy surrounding Disney. It is somewhat a dilemma for the company given the DeSantis move against Disney World and they probably aren't trying to be activists socially on a larger political sense. Its a tightrope with LGBT favorable views that they have to balance with those who disapprove of such marketing/activism. That puts them in a tight spot businesswise and the company is probably trying to please everyone at this point. Disney is a business after all and they probably worry about the negative publicity. 
BTW, the bond market is actually up. Yields are stronger given the rise in interest rates. This means that bond prices are down because outstanding bonds have lower interest rates than the current issuance of treasuries which benchmark the market. Otherwise, bond prices going down is actually a sign of a higher return on bonds. The equity market is in bear market territory but that also means it is not time to sell. Hopefully when the market dips a little more I might be a buyer at some point too.
