I do not actually care whether Musk owns Twitter or not.  But he WANTED to own it, and signed something that seems to have been a contract that would be quite difficult to weasel out of.
After studying Twitter's records, he has now decided that he wants out.
I think that anyway you look at it, Musk was not acting like a wise businessman when he signed the agreement to buy Twitter.
He looks quite foolish.
Not nearly so foolish as Trump with his plans to dominate Atlantic City gambling, though.
Sucker lost a BILLION DOLLARS.
Let Musk try to back out of the deal.   May the man with the best lawyers win!

Time travel is always fiction, because time flows only in one direction, which we call forward and into the future. The arrow of time flows only forward.
The government has not a thing to do with the nature of time. Ideology has nothing to do with this, either.

Your opinions, but you should #readhissig.

I told you Musk wasn't getting out of the deal - without paying a hefty fee.
So weak were his legal arguments that he folded.

You swallowed them uncritically.

nod.

Isn't it illegal for a publicly traded socialist media company like jewbook and twatter to manipulate, lie and mislead the public on how popular their publication actually is and how many active registered users they have? Doesn't that affect the stock price?

My post from a few months ago was not opinion.  It stated the fact that twitter would not release the requested info.  That is a fact.  Whenever you go back to old posts you are getting face slammed on a current topic.  You lose.

As I said you are more than welcome to make your own case.  With this view I am not doing your research, Duplex.

There are NO "socialist" companies in the stock market. All companies that sell stock are by definition capitalist.
When you buy a stock, you should read the shareholders' report very critically. All companies claim that in some way they are better than their competition. Even Avis, who has always been second, claims that because they are in second place, that makes them "try harder". Hype is to be expected from anyone selling anything.

Did Twitter break any laws or regulations?  I don't know enough about either the regulations or Twitter to comment on this one way or another. I will leave this up to the experts.

It is entirely possible that some of the users that Twitter thinks are real people are bots or something other than real people.

As for Musk, he agreed to a deal and apparently read over the contract carefully before signing it. If he signed something that was not to his benefit, he has only himself to blame.

Blah, blah...

Elon ran his mouth, Twitter called his bluff, and now he's gonna have to cut them a large check.

Time will tell whether Musk pays a penalty or not.
There could be a non disclosure  agreement concerning the amount.
I can't say that I care one way or another.
We are probably better off if Twitter is owned by many shareholders, rather than just one guy.
I do not post on Twitter, nor do I have any reason to buy stock in Twitter.

Here is a stock tip: APA was $34.12 on 9/28/22.  today it is $38.74.

There's a substantial breakup fee.

Musk and Twitter agreed to a so-called reverse termination fee of $1 billion when the two sides reached a deal last month. Still, the breakup fee isn't an option payment that allows Musk to bail without consequence.
