This ^ is an extremely poor and muddled defense of the "over-population" argument. There is SOOOOO much more going into home values than the number of people on earth - a number that has ZERO effect on home costs. One of the reasons homes are expensive to buy is that they are expensive to build. Everyone wants three times the space we grew up in with four times the bathrooms and five times the quality of construction - with a chef's dream for a kitchen. Home values are based on supply and demand and equity in homes has never been worse. Home ownership is becoming more and more the impossible dream. Decrease our population and the demand for existing homes on decent sized lots and the demand for limited road space in all of our major city /suburbs reverts back to much more livable levels.
In your mind our resources are unlimited and that is simply false.
The demand for multi-family housing / renter's ghetto style neighborhoods would decrease dramatically.
There would be far fewer people stuck renting a place to live as opposed to being able to purchase a home.
Same goes for fuel demand. Gas and electricity was relatively cheap when I was a kid. No sane person would claim that now.

Whereas reducing the existing population WOULD INDEED reduce home costs artificially by creating a surplus, that does not mean the number of people directly OR indirectly raises the cost of shelter. The more probable truth is that more people LOWERS home costs by creating more efficiencies.
Likewise, there is as much oil under the ground than water above it - and more being made daily. Oil does not come from **** fossils - fossils come from oil.
The overpopulation narrative is anti-Christian.

That makes Christianity as equally guilty at corrupting ancestries as any other ideology used by this species doing the same thing every generation.
Shame you never did it yourself. Anyone could instinctively, but you didn't intellectually.Cannonpointer » 27 Aug 2023, 7:48 am » wrote: ↑ Ah - I have been waiting for this. Finally, a takedown of the Beatitudes.

You keep lazily repeating the "limited resources" leftist trope, without bothering to tell us just which resources you've been hoodwinked to believe are limited.
So FEWER hands makes lighter work - not more hands. Okay. That is quite inane.
You are literally arguing against the most obvious truisms ever coined.

There's a reason a one bedroom apartment in New York costs more than a three bedroom home in the hinterlands. More people want to live there. You clearly don't - so don't. The existence of more people will not force YOU to live in an urban corridor. But it WILL create that opportunity for others.
There are other countries still seeing elevated excess deaths but they are trending down for the most part.Buffalo » 27 Aug 2023, 9:45 am » wrote: ↑ That is why the government and big pharma are instigating plandemic 2.0 with their new and improved mRNA clot shot coming in September!!!
Law abiding citizens don't get a choice. They get removed from society working economics forward as punishment of noncompliance. Then comes the law suits for public menace to society.Buffalo » 27 Aug 2023, 11:34 am » wrote: ↑ Another payoff to big pharma...

Homes that are perfectly fine, although overly valued due to intense competition.
Less people creates less work, not more.GHETTOBLASTER » 27 Aug 2023, 9:51 am » wrote: ↑ Homes that were built when the cost of materials was less way less than what future homes will cost.
Fewer people competing for the resources that we already have will bring us closer to the times when full ownership in houses was within the grasp of more people.
We have seen what happens to home values when there are large enough population shifts due to lack of work..they drop drastically.
Now imagine a scenario where there is A SURPLUS OF WORK AND ALL OTHER RESOURCES to be shared because we have 1/2 the people.
Nobody except for you is going to feel deprived if you don't find yourself elbow to elbow and bumper to bumper with other people as far as the eye can see.

You've bought the leftist lie that humanity is the problem.
Homes are a product - not a resource. I ask you for the third time: what resource do you fear is so limited that we need less people?
