I do not know how or why. The second time was fairly mild. We opted to not vax the kids because they never once showed even the slightest symptoms after being around us having it a total of 3 times. My dogs eat a **** of a lot better than most people feed their kids. MOSTLY raw, human quality, organic, prepared by my hand and served with affection. Most children are tossed scraps that are anti-nutritious. I have seen parents bitching like victims that their TODDLERS won't eat anything but fast food.
Guess that kind of addiction is what you get when you don't keep your keys and wallet out of reach. The child drives to the store and orders fast food so many times that by the time you notice there's anything going on, he's an addict.

growing up, it was a rarity (like an annual event) that we would get "take out" as my parents were German immigrants and we only ate ethnic meals at the table...there was only one place we got food from and it wasn't Micky D's or any place like that, it was KFC...and man was it a treat...

i think back to the day after my HS graduation where one thought sticks out, "I'm on my own and no one's going to do it for me..." while unfortunate, my father died when I was 13, my only sibling was in the army and hell, my mother didn't even drive.. this dire situation forced me to step up and become a thinker, student, entrepreneur of sorts to take care of business at home with all the daily stuff my mother didn't have a clue about...all without the internet... I know, however did I do it, right?
i never looked back...I've made every decision (well, at least until I got married...
) based on need, I've always looked for, learned about and decided...and certainly not always the correct one...while you and I may not agree with what IO and skans choices were, it's their choice...just like back to graduation....I respect their decision as I expect my decisions to be respected...I give everyone that freedom, including my wife, kids, etc and I get pissed when other's don't show me the same respect (thinking of certain children and/or their spouses)...but one does what one has to do...
