I didn't really mean it as a political philosophy. More of a description of the mindset that would act in such a way.

I don't know what a conservative mindset would be nor do I consider the label useful. 


whether people call themselves liberal or conservative largely depends on what echo chamber they inhabit. 

Conservatives are rural and/or christian.

Liberals are urban. 

Both echo chambers are anti racist.

You do need to take into account the Civil Rights movement too. That's when race relations changed monumentally. There hasn't been any real movement of that proportion when it comes to Hispanics.
