Sure the January 6th insurrection was started by antifa and then carried out by the capital police and the FBI; the Republicans had nothing to do with anything that had anything to do with the insurrection.Majik » 01 Mar 2023, 1:25 pm » wrote: ↑ No, that is your opinion.....
which you tried to back up with the age old debate tactic of trying to bury your opponents with a sea of **** links which share your opinion but ultimately prove nothing ....
You claim there is a Republican Endgame and the goal of that endgame is to bring death to Democracy in America.....
But yet.....your reasoning for this false claim is tethered to your own liberal biased belief system which is more about protecting that belief system than it is about debating your belief system ....
So, now that we have that fact cleared up....
let's begin......
You claim to be liberal which your posting history totally debunks as a lie ....
you are no more liberal than Bernie Sanders is ....whom is not a Liberal at all.....
You created this thread because you are being inundated and overwhelmed by real world revelations that your party is in fact criminal and is working towards destroying democracy in America ......and you can't have your conditioned belief system challenged by reality ....
which is why you created this thread in defiance of that reality and to try and lash out at those you perceive as threats to your belief system .....
When the Truth is you conditioned belief sytem .....will not allow you to be honest especially when confronted with reality .....
Not to worry. Contrary to the rules of engagement established at the start of these pg threads, his entire diatribe was nothing more than a personal attack, devoid of any basis in reality except the alternate ones those of his ilk dwell in.slideman » 01 Mar 2023, 5:17 pm » wrote: ↑ Sure the January 6th insurrection was started by antifa and then carried out by the capital police and the FBI; the Republicans had nothing to do with anything that had anything to do with the insurrection.

This is no culture war: Republicans are waging a war on democracy - Salon
America is not mired in a culture war. In reality, today's Republican Party and larger "conservative" movement are waging a fascist war against multiracial pluralist democracy and human freedom. Ultimately, to not understand how the so-called culture war is actually a fascist war against American democracy is to almost ensure being rolled over by those evil forces.
History repeating itself: Rachel Maddow charts a new outbreak of Nazism in the US - MSN
EXCERPTS:
"Under Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis' broad, vague, new laws about what kids can and cannot read, author Jodi Picoult had one of her best-selling books banned from a Florida library because a parent objected to the telling of a story involving the Holocaust.
Maddow explained, "The Storyteller is a novel about the Holocaust, anti-semitism, and fascism in Germany. It was a strange irony that they wanted this particular book removed because it was like history repeating itself. That feeling and stuff we thought we left behind is rearing its head again and that feeling is happening a lot these days.
We got some folks on the right trying to ban books about the rise of nazism and anti-Semitism in 1930. Others are literally trying to make it happen all over again."

From back when conservative think tanks and groups like the Heritage Foundation and their affiliates dictated policymaking to Republican politicians like Ronald Reagan. Back when their various right winged PACS and interests like the Kochs and Mercers held little pow-wows and retreats with right winged judges like Scalia and Thomas.
And when their Federalist Society provided Republican presidents and lawmakers with lists of potential judgeships comprised of far right ideologues.
Back when their "war" on drugs wasn't a yet "crisis" (as it is now with opioids) and back when they and their right winged media outlets like Fox, promoted and promulgated thinly veiled, racist, dog-whistle rhetoric and anti-democratic propaganda on a 24/7 basis. Just like they do NOW.
The coming of Trump was only the culmination of that ongoing effort. He was only the full EMBODIMENT of all they were already trafficking in.
So it was NO wonder that his hate based, rabble rousing diatribes were so readily devoured by right winged voters, above ALL other contenders. And why they love him STILL.
And now that they can see their goals on the horizon, they've unembarrassingly pulled out ALL the stops. Today, their sights are set on nothing less than a fascist, authoritarian MINORITY RULE style of government founded upon hate based nationalistic sentiment and they are acting, non stop, towards those ends.
They've set about doing so viaThey've done so by turning the GOP into A CULT. And THEIR ENDGAME is nothing less than THE DEATH OF DEMOCRACY IN AMERICA.
- radical right rulings of a rogue conservative court,
- via multi-pronged attacks upon the right to vote,
- via their right winged assault upon the judiciary and the resulting undermining of civil rights,
- via their constant promotion and embrace of Trump/GOP inspired racism and hate towards Jews, minorities, immigrants, the gay community, and anyone else they choose to "other",
- via their continued retrogressive and inhumane assault upon programs that help PEOPLE,
- via their assault upon EDUCATION,
- via the rise of far right religious fanaticism blended with the conspiracy theory lunacy of QAnon.
- and via their legitimizing of an attempted COUP and OVERTHROW OF THE DEMOCRATIC PROCESS by way of a fake elector CONSPIRACY, and a subsequent PLANNED, Trump led Capitol Insurrection.
Thanks for your input. But from where I'm sitting, they're also working on raising the retirement age to 70, cutting Social Security and Medicare, rolling back Obamacare protections, culling the electorate via voter suppression efforts and efforts to disenfranchise college age and young people from voting, empowering themselves to remove at will, elected officials, and overturning election results, demonizing gay trans Black and other minority peoples, obliterating Black history and rebranding (or denying) the Holocaust, rewriting the constitution, and installing an authoritarian dictatorship in America...RayJJohnson » 04 Apr 2023, 9:27 am » wrote: ↑ We are not a democracy, so it can't die.
As a conservative I will let you in on our grand conspiracy for the country.
1. Eliminate as many cabinet positions and departments in the federal government as possible.
2. Eliminate our progressive tax system and replace it with a flat or sales tax.
3. Have a balanced budget amendment.
4. Eliminate federal unions.
5. Eliminate as many useless regulations as possible.
6. Return us to a federalist system where the states get their power back from the federal government.
That is what we want in a nutshell. If we do all of that, the country will not crumble. It will reintroduce liberty back to the republic.
And some of the TREASONOUS fkrs who attempted the overthrow of Democracy on Jan 6, and who are STILL attempting it, are sitting RIGHT IN CONGRESS, not to mention the wife of a Supreme Court "justice."bludog » 25 Apr 2023, 9:25 am » wrote: ↑ The OP has it nailed.
The Republican Party and especially the **** crazy Far Right are doing all they can to bring down Democracy in the US. Since they can't get everything thet want politically, they're trying to institute nothing less than totalitarian rule. They will go down in history as traitors to their Nation.
