I knew a guy that loaned ten stinking dollars to another guy... The borrower forgot about it completely.

The first guy told me that was why he hated the borrower some YEARS later. I asked why he didn't just remind him.
He said "**** him" and proceeded to continue to resent the other forever after. What an idiot.

I have borrowed and given out $100 and don't even know who owes me or who I owe. I don't care...  

If you have an attitude in the first place "Never a borrower nor a lender be."

I agree.  If you want to loan money to people, then go into banking and use other people's money to do it.  And, borrowing money is a bad habit like crack or heroin.  Best never to touch that poisonous dope, with two exceptions:  Purchase of your first real home.  And, business loan where you have a sound business plan, the ability to pay off the loan and the interest rate is significantly lower than your conservatively figured rate of return. Here is a list of what I call "stupid loans"

• credit card that doesn't get paid down to $0 every month
• student loans
• car loans
• loans from friends and family
• SBA loans
• Hardship loans
• Loans from the same guy you buy your Fentanyl from
• Any business loan where you are a low-IQ idiot who has no understanding of how to start and run a business.

I disagree !
Pretty much all the times I reminded the borrower . . . all I got back was  "I did return the money . . . are you sure you're not cheating on me ?"

On one or two occasions they did pay back !
Not worth the trouble . . . just donate and forget the whole **** . . . or turn down the request !
That's the way I see it, anyway !

I don't know about you or anyone else  . . .  but life taught me that  "loaning money"   equals donating.

But with a grudge !

So, since so long  . . .  I never   "loaned"   anything to anybody !
It's either  DONATING  or denying !

Works just fine with me !

Give to get methodology. You donate money and demand services back. you get substance they receive symbolic rewards and as long as they believe they got more than you did, you are fine with that.
