I would have liked to have seen that!!!JinnMartini » 26 Jul 2022, 4:04 pm » wrote: ↑ The only bikes I ever owned were KTM cross bikes.
The first was 125 cc which had no number plate, because it was meant only for off-road !
Ages ago !
Next was 250 cc.
Last one was a 530 XR . . . a real killer !
Rode less than 400 miles with it, in three years . . . before realizing that it might very well kill me !
And sold it.
Took part in some competitions, back in the days of the 125 . . . never really shined !
But had a lot of fun !
Including the time a cop tried to stop me with his Moto Guzzi (I don't remember exactly) but I climbed down and up the stairs of an underway rail passage . . . and he couldn't do that !
The looks on his face . . . priceless !
I just rode away whistling the Dixie !

Ah, the old racing days. That 530...wow! I raced flat track and loved it...not great at it either, but often took 4th in the "C" main. Had a Kawasaki 250 Green streak...lowered frame, Pirelli tires, trick expansion chamber, hot shoe on the left foot. Indoor short track and 1/4 mile in Bellingham, WA. Good times!JinnMartini » 26 Jul 2022, 4:04 pm » wrote: ↑ The only bikes I ever owned were KTM cross bikes.
