Actually, he's correct. It is still illegal under federal law, but states are "legalizing" it anyway. That's why banks will not do business with known "legal" growers. The ATF may, at any time, charge banks and growers, distributors with a drug crime if they ever decide to get some balls. 

Back to the overdoses. Trump hinted at a cure. Go right to the source, and make it a capital crime with execution, and he references Singapore, a clean, nearly crime-free country day and night, that executes traffickers.  Amazing...they have a miniscule amount of drug trafficking. (s).

That's why I said decriminalized as opposed to legalized.
For years I've seen the movement to "decriminalize" pot.
It's a totally mealy-mouthed non-solution; A half-measure. That's about where we are now.

And, if you really look at the comparative outrage at guns vs drug deaths, many more people are dying due to drugs.
It is an upside down view. In fact, I submit there would be even less gun violence if we focused on drugs.
The gun thing would naturally abate as well.

I rarely watch any TV news. Just so happened to see about 10 minutes of Greta Van Susteren a few days ago.
She was talking about China shipping the makings for fentanyl to Mexico.
Their labs cook it. We allow it in through our Biden Borders.
Seemed plausible. Have you heard this? I heard more that it is prescription abuse.
