the last time that .org went down, I inquired with Kfools about buying it. If I recall correctly, he paid either $3500 or $7000 for it. Both are above my threshold besides do not have the time to mess with it. the first six months of the year are going to be quite hectic with new leaders in my state. That being said, it appears that the time has come for there to be some sort of revenue stream. Depending solely on member donations works for the most part but then we have this every year or so.

You may be correct. I can't recall the exact amount. Either way, it was too much for me. 

If I was to own it, I would institute something where the members opt in to having ads show up on the screen. it is quite complex but from what I have seen, it can be done. 

Doesn't lucifershammer own and run the show over there now?

Kfools owns the site. Lucifershammer was his unpaid "assistant" of sorts. Not sure about timeframe but he got burnt out and had a bit of a meltdown one night, Kfools relieved him of his duties and he has been mostly nonexistent since then.

I thought he only paid about $2K for the forum. In any event, someone does need to monetize it - ads or whatever. There were a number of donors to the forum. Who knows, maybe it's not a lack of money - we're just making assumptions and speculating. You can't expect to get any significant money for a forum that has only a few members and doesn't seem to get picked up by the Google-bots. And, its hard to get others interested in it when you're not doing anything to drive people to it and have a spotty record of having it up and running.

If we are being honest with one another... if Kfools, myself, or whoever drove up the membership.. quite a few folks would leave. The relative isolation and anonymity is what lures a lot of the .org folks. More traffic would mean that some would drowned out and forgotten. That being said, If i was to own it I would monetize it. I know that Kfools adamantly opposes that and that's his right as the owner.

Heck, it would be fun to see some fresh blood in that forum.  And, please, monetize it!!!  Sell ads to Apple, the NRA, Cutlery Corner, Tesla, Gretta Thumberg and George Sorros, for all I care.

Thanks for the update.  This kfools character wasn't even on the scene back in the day when I used to post there. 
That website has always had technical problems and other issues as far back as I can remember. Going all the way back to 2007 or 8. It'll probably never be ran well or managed right.

I have confidence that if impartialobserver took it on, he would get it to run right.  He'd probably piss off some of the regulars and they would announce their departure, but he'd also get a bunch of other people over to the forum.  He seems like a rather capable fellow to me.

Hoop ty doo, look AT YOU. I can explain how humanity corrupts each generation gap in this atmosphere and I get ignored for doing it. I got banned from .org 3 times since Kfools took over. I cannot pin any threads here and I adapt without malice because I am using a free message board and it can do whatever it is going to do until I leave.

So when posters ridicule pretend they debunked the way I discuss life in real time with facts defending reasonable doubt, those not doing it become instinctively aware how psychological class warfare was always in operation 24/7 since dawn of civilization creating the chaos taking place within the 5 generation gaps alive here now.

The silent majority don't protest, they correct their own behavior. i.e. walk away from leaderships mismanaging biological time evolving takes place in plain sight.
