The industrial revolution is proof that the world is abundant, and it has always been more abundant than anyone before the industrial revolution ever realized.
Humans are not conditioned to abundance of finished products and commodities, because they evolved in a world of abundant and useless natural resources before the inception of technology, modern automation of labor etc..

Nope. There was mass starvation and slow growth in human population on planet earth until the industrial revolution. Technology caused explosion in population growth. Before that everybody died young
