It's a mystery, the mods have it in for you for some reason... but now that you're back... how about that solution for your puzzle, it has been over a week... don't you want to prove me wrong...

The mods are the mods. I did go on there full fire. Not sure what truth they're disputing, but it's all ****. I want to buy the board. Just because we need a place for truth. I dunno if i can afford it anymore though.

I thought about it some more and since it makes my head hurt I came up with another logical solution... it can't be done without knowing if that one marble is heavier or lighter...you put that in just to mess with peoples heads... but of course you would never do such a thing... right... lol...

That's ok, I can wait six more days... it sounds you're already trying to come up with excuses for not having to prove me wrong though... which makes me think I'm right...

Let's go with some hints here.... It's obviously not 1x1 or 6x6, or 2x2, or 5x5.... right?
That's obvious!

So it's 3x3 or 4x4, as the starting point.

Use some logic from there.

I'm serious, if I tell you, you'll be mad at me. You're smart enough to figure it out.

I forgot your solution, but if it was even close, I would remember. 

I gave you hints, you have to start with 3x3 or 4x4.

I'll give you another hint, start with 4x4. :-)

2nd weighing, before that, you have to start moving marbles around, and using your known marbles, you have to create a control group b4 the 2d weighing.
 
 Create a control group based on known marbles.  Use that control group to make the 2nd weighing, and identify the bad marble. That's your goal on the 2nd weighing. You may be left with 2 marbles. That's ok. You got this!

 
 

You're going to use a version of your control group to figure out the rest, and figure out which marble it is, and whether it is heavier or lighter.

1st weighing is 4x4. 2nd weighing is 3x3. Last weighing is 1x1. 

I dunno how many more hints I can give... :-)
 

You have to move marbles around based on your control group. That's the last hint....:-)
 
You'll establish your control group on the 1st weighing.
