LOL Yep. its getting expensive.

I have found that here in Miami, to live economically, you have to keep a record of the prices charged by each supermarket. Aldi's has the lowest prices on everything they sell that I buy. They are slightly higher on a few things that I don't buy, but they have the Dollar Tree beat. The Latino stores are competitive on produce, but the Opa Locka Flea Market (still selling veggies) is cheaper than everyone. They sell a lot of culls (odd sized and perhaps twisted) veggies.Cannonpointer » 23 Aug 2022, 12:49 pm » wrote: ↑ The sad thing is, as megaliths go, Wally is a GOOD guy.
Walmart was the last to succumb to market pressures and manufacture in Chyna. Great Value brands never appear on the various apps my family uses to screen foods for fetal parts and neurological toxins. And Wally's brick and mortars are no less under siege than your local mom and pop.
Wally as been up to its share pf scumbggery - but as villains go, Walmart is more of a Jim Bakker than a Jack the Ripper.
I buy a lot of my veggies organic.Xavier_Onassis » 24 Aug 2022, 9:55 am » wrote: ↑ I have found that here in Miami, to live economically, you have to keep a record of the prices charged by each supermarket. Always look for the specials.
Wal Mart is not always cheapest. They are usually more expensive than Publix when Publix has specials. And guaranteed, it will take you AT LEAST 20 minutes to check out of any WalMart in Miami. Anything that WalMart and Home Depot both sell will be a lot cheaper at WalMart.
