It's probably easy.  Check yer manual. Take it one slow step at a time. You could be ready to enjoy yerself next winter when yer not chopping wood.     

Go to Youtube and ask/type-in if yer model keyboard can store other instrument voices to play along with. I wish I would have had Youtube when I was a kid. It's got every thing you ask for and you can bookmark it and play over and over to practice what you want to learn.

Practice doing that with Youtube and you'll be glad you did. Don't worry if it takes you some time at first.

I thought maybe an upgrade would be the Answer.

Post the brand and model of yer keyboard...I'll see if I can find a good Youtube video.

Thanks.. i found most of  them all... I don't understand them either..   got a few that helped. So far. And not from the manufacturer. Just a player.
it's a casio-CTX 5000. Better sound then a yamaha. But i may want one of those next year.
one guy complained... it's too complicated.. I'm gonna upgrade. hahahaha

I found a video that you might already know about. Remember...at first it seems hard, but it's only because you haven't learned it yet.


You might also check around for someone who knows yer keyboard and can give you lessons in how to operate it. Try a local music store or put an ad on Craigslist to see if someone in yer area can sit down with you and show you how to use yer keyboard functions.

When I was first learning stuff on guitar I was lucky.  2 guys in my neighborhood were already good guitar players and they sat down with me should showed me in a more personal way their ideas and technics.


I highly recommend finding a nice person who can patiently help you learn the functions on yer keyboard. It's a great way to learn. If you can find someone close to home you can bribe them with food and beer.   lol

I thought of that. In Maine- locally-  no one knows what a keyboard is.
that might be a tough nut to crack.

Check the local schools to see if they have a band director or a music teacher that's familiar with these kinds of keyboards. You might be surprised. 

If that doesn't work then ship yer keyboard to me and then shoot yerself.

I used to play the Roland at my bosses restaurant. He was a mafia character.. But he was awesome player. And a silly buffoon. Not good at running a rest...
The Roland was the size of a huge piano. It was placed in the salad bar. Huge.
one day I asked him outta of the blue... Hey Gus? Can you play The boxer?
hour later- He comes down with his guitar... and he's playing the boxer? on guitar.. i shat my pants... it was so good...
week later he had no power in the restaurant...
