I was just thinking of that that? never play in c? - play in the flats. weird.roadkill » 13 Jul 2023, 3:51 pm » wrote: ↑ Don't give up on the music you loved. Spend a few months writing yer own music and experiment with extended more interesting chords.
Some times change a note or two inside the chords you already know. Maybe let yer pinkie add an upper note to a chord you already know.
If you find one or more chords you like then practice it. I assume yer new keyboard has a drum app...pick a beat that feels comfortable and lay yer new chords over that beat. Don't rush it.

I wrote a song on guitar.. it was called
Freezin rain. I was frustrated? lol
it was cute?
Freezin rain- freezin rain
State has nothing but freezin rain?
I went out to get the mail
Thru wind and sleet and snow and hail
I went out slow and I went steady
when out got home
supper was ready?
I had 4 versus... lol foolish.
can you work that up for me.
we may have a global cooling hit? HA
over my head dear? LOLroadkill » 13 Jul 2023, 4:26 pm » wrote: ↑ Those are good lyrics...be patient with yerself. I knew an old guy who claimed every chord was a form of the "C" chord.
Don't know if that's true...but never ignore a chord. Hear the chords and string some together.
Use yer own judgement, not someone else's. Musical notes are endless just like numbers. Have confidence that you can write a cool chord pattern.
Maybe start with a 1-4-5 chord pattern. For instance, the "A" chord is the "1", the "D" chord is the "4", and the "E" chord is the "5". Then experiment by adding different notes to change those major chords. Write yer own chord pattern that complements the sound in yer head from yer lyrics.
Scratch all the stuff I showed you earlier and learn this one...first focus on what is played with the right hand. You can add the left hand later.sootedupCyndi » 13 Jul 2023, 3:27 pm » wrote: ↑ roadkill
