Loathe is a strong word for that song. Is there worse than loathe?
How about "I'm only human" by talk-talk? Who does it best, Talk-Talk or Gwen Stephanie?

I'm not sure why but I wanted to post a song and this one came to mind.. lol.. at the time I thought it was a funny song but it's also predictive, if it was today and he had an AI 'gadget' like Alexa at home he would have every reason to be paranoid...

Here's a nice old tune...I wish we would have done this one.   This is one Cyndi could do on her keyboard.    Image

No worries...here's a keyboard tutorial on "Dancin' in the Moonlight".   Ignore the intro cause he's going to fast, but he slows it down to a crawl so you can see the exact notes he's playing. There's probably a ton of tutorials on this song on Youtube.

Hey you...don't think you have to learn a song over night.

Practice a few minutes once a week...even if you don't make great headway at first. It starts to stick in yer mind, then you'll be tempted to go back for more.  Image

What's wrong with that?  Nothing. If you can do that yer doing more than most people wish they could.

Take one of those songs and get risky.   Image   Add some of yer own feeling to it...like changing a note in one of the chords...or the pace you play it at.

Rock & Roll little sister...he broke a string in mid-flight and made the switch.     Image

I play by ear too...I was fortunate to grow up in a neighborhood that had two good guitar players...and they were also my friends.

They taught me a lot...and just like you, I did most of it by ear. If my ear didn't get it then neither did I.   lol

If you can play anything at all, then you can also get risky and have some fun.

yeah... does not look pleasant. Still.. going to be amazing. They are scheduled to play the "And Justice For All" album from start to finish on the first day. That has never been done. Songs 5 to 7 on this album are almost never played live.

Did I post this before? This is a tune I sang and played guitar on back in the Jurassic Period.  A very simple song.   Image

This recording didn't have the sax solo...I think I can barely hear it in the background.
