No those are the kinds of things I don't understand.
It has these things called inputs and outputs. I have no clue. I don't need speakers tho. I just play at the house- here.
As long as it has that auto accompany- I'll be off and going pretty fast. Then the rest will take some time to learn.
Have had 3 casios.. two Yamahas. Nothing new for years.
I find the sound in casio better then yamaha.
Doing you tube videos like you said. To sort of see how it works. The technology has advanced so much. You know.
yes I will. LOLroadkill » 09 Oct 2022, 11:53 am » wrote: ↑ It's a nice complete unit...I think you'll have a lot of fun with it.
When you become famous you probably won't talk to me anymore.

You're gonna be famous before me.I am self taught. It was the best xmas present I ever got at 5. Magnus organ.LOLOL It even had a seat... I felt like a real big wig.
Now my drinking buddy BOB.. His mother forced him into piano lessons... She was a snob. He hates it. I asked him.. Cant you teach me anything.. no he said.
how did you learn to play?
I learned from guys I dated in bands.. I worked in a honky tonk bar... with live music.roadkill » 09 Oct 2022, 12:14 pm » wrote: ↑ I'm mostly self taught too...but I was lucky. Two of the best guitar players in my town were my friends. We went to grade school together.
I learned some good technics from them.
We can always look back at coulda, shoulda, woulda. I've done the same. I think you'll do well and you'll have all winter to learn some songs and technics on Youtube. Maybe practice some scales too...that would help keep yer hands loose and strong.sootedupCyndi » 09 Oct 2022, 12:29 pm » wrote: ↑ I learned from guys I dated in bands.. But nobody really ever sat down and really taught me.
I kind of wished my parents would have made or forced me go for lessons.. But that probably would have turned me off.maybe the fun was figuring it out for myself.
I have a problem with rhythms. LOL Thats why I like the auto accompany. I suck at that.roadkill » 09 Oct 2022, 12:34 pm » wrote: ↑ We can always look back at coulda, shoulda, woulda. got one? you have a good taste in music?roadkill » 09 Oct 2022, 1:02 pm » wrote: ↑ Find a nice pop song that you've always wanted to learn. Then learn the WHOLE THING!
Then play it over and over many times. That will build confidence and muscle memory in yer hands.
Here's one...don't let it bother you. You have ALL winter to work on it. If it takes you a week or 3 weeks to learn just the very first part it will be cool.sootedupCyndi » 09 Oct 2022, 1:04 pm » wrote: ↑ got one? you have a good taste in music?![]()
Inspire me? falling on scissors doesn't.

You could even listen to Michael McDonald and write down the lyrics. In fact there's probably a Youtube video WITH the lyrics. Then you could practice singing it as you play. But don't get in a hurry...learn the chords first, then practice the vocals much later...maybe next spring. Don't force it or rush it. Relax.![]()

You can do it, even if it takes a week to learn the first 4 chords. I love the intro chords. You no more about the keyboard than I do...but I still remember how to play Louie Louie from decades ago. lol
