First, get the government to forgive school debt

Second, pass legislation to place limits and have terms enforced on their endowment funds

Third, get legislation passed to guarantee anyone a free and/or affordable college education.

Third, teach kids and their parents not to waste money on stupid degrees, like African Studies.

First...block the dictatorial overreach by Stink Finger to forgive any student loan debt.  If you signed a loan agreement, repay the loan.

Second...stop being jealous of the money some people and/or organizations have accumulated and remind yourself that some (if not most) endowment gifts to universities are restricted by the donor.  It's not your money.

Third...start teaching students, parents and sniveling liberals that nothing is free.

University operating cost - University revenue + 10% profit / # of students = tuition per student.

Problem solved

Why should your neighbor have to payback your student loan? You want him to payoff your subprime mortgage, too?

How about that vicious payday loan cycle you got yourself into? You want your neighbor to pay that off, too?

during Covid lockdowns, billionaires got TONS of free money from taxpayers.  Airlines got bailed out.  Did you cry about that too, or is it only upsetting when Main Street gets a break instead of Wall Street?

In general, I am opposed to government bailouts.  I'm sure examples exist where a case can be made they are necessary to the national interest, but those are the exception.

If a business cannot plan/forecast properly and doesn't have the ability (or will) to take action when "**** happens" ...that's their problem.

I was also opposed to lockdowns during the COVID rage.  There had to be a better approach than shutting down half the economy.  I give politicians a little break because it was the first pandemic with a internationally integrated economy, most people were "flying blind".  It didn't help that the "science" everyone was saying to trust kept changing.  However, I think the better approach would have been to "scream" COVID is serious and likely fatal if you are elderly and/or immune compromised ..but let businesses continue to operate at some level with the suggestion/mandate for mask and distancing.  That said, Congress (both parties) enacted legislation that provided relief/assistance via the Payroll Protection Program and established parameters that allowed for automatic forgiveness.  Forgiving the loans if used as Congress intended should apply to all businesses.  If Congress didn't want "billionaires" to benefit (even though the loans benefited workers), Congress should have written the law differently.
