I went into my bank with a 2K check. I happened to walk in. It was a big F_ING deal. The manager had to come out. WTF. It's my money- and that is NOT even much money these days.

Something similar happened to me as well, and it wasn't even at one of the big banks but at a local one.  I had business and personal accounts there for over 30 years, including one for my father for whom I handled all his banking since he had dementia.  One day the bank stopped me from trying to make a deposit into his account, and was told I wasn't allowed to do that.  Spoke to a manager who confirmed that policy, which I couldn't believe.  Our last names are the same, and despite being a relatively large customer for all those years they held firm to their policies.  I argued with her for a while then told her in a rather loud voice, "If anyone ever attempts to make a deposit into MY account, I give you full permission to accept it!"  The dozen or so customers in the bank all heard it and had a good laugh.  The next day I returned with a new signature card allowing me to access his account once again, and promptly close out his account (about $1000) and my business account as well (about $200,000) and told the same manager that their new policy was the reason. 

It was very satisfying.

I was furious. It was a local bank.  Bet that was satisfying.

And dope that I am, I actually thought that some VP at the bank would have cared enough about losing a large account that they would call me and try to entice me to come back.  The fact that they couldn't be bothered proved to me that I made the right decision.

temporary satisfaction, because the bank they go to will end up adopting the same policy as federal regulations mandate all banking systems follow the underwriters' policies.

Exactly!! Like the banks Now have to report 600$ transactions???? that one has me LIVID!
 

I cook nearly all my own meals, and only occasionally get takeout from Checkers or Publix (Publix has way better subs, and they are on sale about once a month).  You can do great things with a waffle iron.  Like use it to make fries with tater tots. You can make waffles with sausage inside. I like to mix powdered peanut butter and crushed walnuts in waffles.

There are a lot of things that you cannot buy for a decent price except on Amazon or at some other online source, and it saves going to a store and finding that they don;t have the thing after all. I see no real point in boycotting specific brands.
