Individualism does not normally mean "doing it all by yourself".  To be a successful individualist, one needs to find like-minded collaborators, and agree on planning and achieving common goals.

 One true individualist was Nicola Tesla. He could not get along with anyone, although he was a true genius. He invented the idea of transmitting alternating current (AC) which was far superior to Edison's scheme of transmitting direct current.  Tesla made a lot of money, and pissed it away on building stuff that did not work. Perhaps it was underfunded, perhaps he just needed help from some other genius.  But he died in poverty with only a pigeon for a girlfriend.

I can't prove the moon isn't made of green cheese but I have cause other than "feelings" to think it's not. Given your photographic "evidence" I do have a feeling that the one of us here who isn't me is definitely guided by his "feelings" on this subject.

There is a place for both individualism and collectivism. Solo artists, painters, authors are good examples of individualism. Their works often require a collective to be fully realized but their individual contributions are paramount and quintessential. Most great human endeavors do require collective action.
