Just sayin'.

They must be counting non-government workers who work indirectly for the government.  For instance all government workers are union.  For instance if you work at NASA as a government employee you are unionized.  AFL/CIO I believe. NASA doesn't actually DO anything anymore.  They control the money and decide who gets what.  Lots of graft.  They fund private industries like lets say Orbital and Orbital does the actual work.  They count those people as working for the government.

They do this as a matter of rule now because during Reagan they discovered government employees were actually twice as expensive as private when you consider benefits and all.

And yes, 37% administrative overhead sounds about right for the government.
Not so during the Apollo missions, making their accomplishments all the more astounding.  Back then they did it for patriotic reasons and to beat the Russians to the moon as per Kennedy's dictate.

If you don't believe their numbers...take it up with them.

However, people on active duty in the military work for the federal government...and I don't think they are part of a union (at least none of the family member I have that are veterans were in a union).  So there goes your "every government employee is unionized" claim.

True dat.  Would also depend on how they are counted.  Not sure what data you have or how everyone was accounted for.  Just know the actual government guys I have worked with at NASA and Defense are all union.  And then they have a bunch of people contracted out to work with them.  The government guys are union and those they contract out to do the work are usually not.

Okay, I read through the data. The numbers listed are 37.6% of public sector jobs are union. By the description this includes indirect non-government employees who work for the government on government contracts. For instance if you are working at Space-Ex on a rocket paid for by NASA you are considered a public sector worker.  Or cleaning the bathrooms at NASA under contract for that matter.

It doesn't mention military anywhere.

I forgot how we got sidetracked on that even.  Anyway, remember years ago many of the government guys I worked with found out they were in a union after having worked for the government for more than a decade.  They were shocked.  Many were the most anti-union people you've ever met.  They were quite pissed about it.  Talk about a racket.  Getting paid to head up a union  your members don't even know you exist?

I'm going to have to start blocking you if you have nothing more to contribute other than, "Jew This, Jew That, Fascism This, Fascism That, Hitler was a nice guy" crap!

No matter the subject he always sees it as related to how wonderful a guy Hitler was.  The subject could be plumbing and he would say, "Well you know Hitler had the most cost effective means of dealing with leaky pipes through the use of Fascism".

Well just like many people during the interwar period...including many highly intelligent people (and not all of them fascist)...I see Jewish control of finance and media (and now education) to be the main source of all of our current problems.

You can go ahead and try to argue that I am wrong...but you aren't even trying. If instead I am correct then it of course is a huge deal and should be brought up all the time.

I have recommended some very deep cuts in the Budget.  Why?  Because, not only is there a tremendous amount of waste, but lots of money is not being diverted into programs and pay-backs to political supporters which the American People would never authorize if we gave The People a line-item budget veto.

Our Government could run just fine with the massive cuts that I have suggested.  The one change is that a lot of unqualified people will immediately be terminated from their government jobs.  We would have massive unemployment.  Wages would need to be reduced to get these people employed in some capacity, and we would enter a deflationary period.

If we had a President who really believed in bringing industry back to the US, these people could be repurposed into these industries. China still floods the US, and the World with tools, drugs, electronics and cheap machinery.  There is no reason we can't be producing these things in the US.

You contributed money to the fund, with the expectation that you would not be penniless when retired.
Therefore you are ENTITLED to receive SS when you retire or are disabled, according to the rules.

How is that NOT an Entitlement?
