China is a superpower, because the only power that matters is economic power, and China is so valuable to the American people that perhaps we should be figuring out a way to gain economic independence from them and their cheap goods and sub contracted electronics. Y'know...the educational level of some of those living in China and running the country doesn't matter. Like the Russians, the vast majority of Chinese, including their leadership, come from peasant stock. No. It's belated, but still apt. We should have destroyed China during the Vietnam war. The United States should have completely ignored Vietnam and decimated China directly in the 1960's. We had the ability and resources to do this. Rather than sending men to die in the jungles of Vietnam, our leaders, Democrats who lacked any testicular fortitude whatsoever, should have launched an all out annihilation attack on China. And the Chinese in Korea weren't defending their homeland. Essentially, yes China could take Taiwan but would have all their international commerce cut off within a very short time. It will take a little more time for China to get to a point it would be a viable option.
The odd thing about china's carriers are their completely inexplicable protocols. The CIA is studying the issue, but so far there is no explanation.
