I hate these videos where you never see what led up to what you're watching, but with that said, from what I've seeing out of context.. , why is a half naked, trailer park trash looking sheriff deputy holding a gun in his right hand and pushing, shoving and assaulting an unarmed citizen with his left hand?

And why would the unarmed citizen charge after the half naked trailer park trash armed deputy and wrap his hand around his throat? You would expect to get shot


My conclusion, the cop deserves a few years in prison to think about how he could have de-escalated the situation and acted differently

Exactly, pulling a gun automatically escalated the situation. 

The cop certainly has some responsibility for the outcome in this encounter.

He might indeed be guilty of murder. We do not know how or when or why the service revolver was introduced to the explosive confrontation. We do not even know for SURE that he was accosted at his home. For all we know, he had been away for a week, came back and caught the landlord off guard, picked a fight - and then introduced the weapon. For all we know, the off-duty cop chased the landlord to that location, loaded for bear. For all we know, he was the first to lay hands on the other man - off-camera.
