There is a reason why the Idaho Panhandle has so few inhabitants. It is cold and there are few crops that will grow there. Once the trees have been chopped down, then they need to wait decades for new trees to grow.
I attended Cheney State one summer and we went to bars in Coeur d'Alene on weekends. It was always fun.
